Victoria Commercial Bank (VCB) is a Private Bank in Kenya. It is one of the forty-four (44) licensed commercial banks in the country.[1]

Victoria Commercial Bank was established in 1987 as Victoria Finance Company, a non-bank finance institution (NBFI). In 1996, following the issuance of a banking license by the Central Bank of Kenya, the national banking regulator, the company rebranded to Victoria Commercial Bank.[2]
The bank is a Tier 3 Private Bank in Kenya, East Africa's largest economy. VCB focuses on serving large corporations and high net-worth clients. The bank also offers personal banking services to the employees of its corporate clients.[3] As of December 2010[update], VCB was ranked number thirty-three (33), by assets, out of forty-three (43) licensed commercial banks in Kenya.[4]
In the 2010 Banking survey (Financials 2009) the bank was positioned No.1 in terms of performance in the small banks category and 7th overall out of all the Banks in Kenya.
The shares of stock of Victoria Commercial Bank are privately held. The detailed shareholding in the bank is not publicly known as of December 2010.
As of December 2010[update], Victoria Commercial Bank maintains one branch located in Victoria Towers, on Kilimanjaro Avenue, Upper Hill, approximately 4 kilometres (2.5 mi), by road, west of the central business district of Nairobi, Kenya's capital and largest city.[5]
